Eye to Eye has been providing eye care to Morgantown and surrounding areas since being founded in 2002 by Dr. Wing Lam, who retired in 2024. Dr. Lara Schad acquired the practice in 2025 and continues Dr. Lam’s goal of providing quality affordable eye care!

Our Doctors

  • Dr. Lara Schad is originally from Oakland, Maryland where she grew up riding horses and other outdoor activities. She graduated cum laude from West Virginia University in 2016 with a Bachelor of science degree in Biology. She continued her education at The Pennsylvania College of Optometry at Salus University, in Philadelphia PA.

    Upon graduating with clinical honors in 2021 she began her career in Latrobe, PA before moving back to Morgantown where she currently lives with her husband Thomas. Dr. Schad took over Eye to Eye Optical in 2025 upon Dr. Lam’s retirement and is excited to continue providing personalized, high quality comprehensive eye care to every patient. When not at the office she enjoys CrossFit, hiking, skiing, and all outdoor activities that West Virginia has to offer.

  • Dr. Caitlyn Haring grew up in Grafton, WV. In 2011, she attended West Virginia University where she completed research at the WVU Eye Institute and earned a Bachelor of Science in Biology, graduating summa cum laude. Following her undergraduate studies, she moved to Columbus, Ohio to attend the Ohio State University, where she received her Doctorate in Optometry with cum laude honors. During her time at OSU, Dr. Haring completed training in vision therapy and binocular vision, low vision rehabilitation, and ocular disease.

    Dr. Haring currently lives in Taylor County with her husband, Justin. She enjoys spending time with family, painting, traveling, boating on Tygart Lake, and cheering on the Mountaineers.

    Dr. Haring is excited to continue providing quality eye care to her community and is currently accepting new patients at Eye to Eye Optical. Dr. Haring provides comprehensive eye examinations, contact lens fittings, diabetic eye examinations, and management of ocular diseases. She is a member of the American Optometric Association and West Virginia Association of Optometric physicians.
